Philodendron 'Kitina'
Philodendron 'Kitina' is an unusual collector's hybrid created from Philodendron 'Florida Beauty' x Philodendron mayoi. It combines the deeply divided, sculptural foliage associated with mayoi with the strong growth and elegant form of 'Florida Beauty', producing dramatic leaves with long, flowing lobes and a distinctly tropical appearance.
As the plant matures and begins to climb, the foliage becomes larger and increasingly impressive. Give 'Kitina' plenty of bright, indirect light and a moss pole or other support to encourage mature growth and more pronounced leaf shapes. Its architectural form makes it particularly striking as a feature plant within a tropical or collector's houseplant display.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch its velvety leaves.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Allow the top layer to dry slightly between waterings.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a rich, free-draining aroid mix with perlite and orchid bark. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser.
Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity. Mist regularly or place near a humidifier.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove old or damaged leaves at the base. Propagates from rhizome cuttings with at least one node.
