Opuntia microdasys inermis is a spineless form of the popular Bunny Ear Cactus, featuring flat, oval green pads without the usual glochids. Its upright, branching growth makes it a charming, low-maintenance choice for sunny windowsills. In ideal conditions, it may produce small yellow flowers in summer.

Light: Prefers bright, direct sunlight for most of the day. A south-facing window is ideal.
Water: Water sparingly, allowing soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a very free-draining cactus mix. Feed with diluted cactus fertiliser once a month in spring and summer.
Humidity: Thrives in dry air – avoid high humidity.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove damaged pads to maintain shape. Propagates easily from pads once calloused.
