Monarda 'Blue Stocking' is a vibrant perennial producing striking whorls of violet-blue flowers that create a colourful display through mid to late summer. The distinctive shaggy blooms sit above aromatic green foliage, bringing movement, texture and strong colour to sunny borders.
Also known as bee balm or bergamot, this hardy perennial is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. It thrives in fertile, moisture-retentive soil in full sun or light shade and is ideal for cottage gardens, wildlife planting schemes and mixed perennial borders.
