Lithops aucampiae
Lithops aucampiae is a fascinating miniature succulent renowned for its remarkable resemblance to small stones or pebbles. Formed from a pair of fleshy leaves fused together, each plant displays unique shades of brown, grey, tan or reddish tones, often decorated with intricate mottled patterns across the leaf surface.
This extraordinary camouflage helps the plant blend into its native South African habitat, protecting it from grazing animals. During autumn, mature plants produce surprisingly large daisy-like yellow flowers that emerge from the central fissure, creating a stunning contrast against the stone-like foliage. Compact and easy to display, Lithops are highly sought after by collectors of unusual succulents.
