Gaura lindheimeri 'Cool Breeze'
Gaura lindheimeri 'Cool Breeze' is an elegant clump-forming perennial producing masses of pure white flowers on slender, branching stems from late spring through summer. The airy blooms appear to float above narrow, willow-like green foliage, creating a light and graceful effect in the border.
Its long flowering season makes 'Cool Breeze' especially useful for adding movement and colour to summer planting schemes. The loose, upright habit combines beautifully with ornamental grasses, Nepeta, Salvia and other sun-loving perennials, while the white flowers provide a fresh contrast among stronger colours.
Best grown in full sun in light, well-drained soil, this hardy perennial is well suited to cottage gardens, prairie-style planting, gravel gardens and mixed borders. Once established, it has some tolerance of dry conditions but should be protected from excessive winter wet.
