Frankenia thymifolia is a very low, creeping evergreen perennial with tiny thyme-like dark green leaves and small pink flowers in summer.
Naturally suited to poor, sandy and free-draining soils, it makes useful ground cover for sunny rock gardens, gravel areas, troughs and coastal-style planting.
