Echinops ritro is a bold, architectural perennial producing striking blue globe-shaped flowers on strong, upright stems above spiny, grey-green foliage. Its distinctive form adds structure and contrast to summer borders.
Flowering through summer, it is perfect for adding height and interest to mixed planting schemes. Highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, the long-lasting blooms are also excellent for fresh cut flowers or drying for use in arrangements.
