Dischidia 'Geri'
An unusual and eye-catching epiphyte with trailing stems and paired, pouch-like leaves that resemble miniature water pitchers. These modified leaves help the plant store water and host beneficial ants in the wild. It occasionally produces small, reddish-pink flowers and makes a fascinating hanging houseplant.

Dischidia Care Sheet
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some morning sun but avoid harsh direct light which can scorch leaves
- Water: Water moderately, allowing the top layer of the potting mix to dry between waterings. Reduce watering in cooler months
- Soil/Nutrition: Requires a well-draining mix – use orchid bark, perlite, or a succulent blend. Feed monthly in spring and summer with a diluted fertiliser
- Humidity: Likes moderate to high humidity – ideal for kitchens or bathrooms. Mist occasionally if kept in drier rooms
- Pruning & Propagation: Prune to keep bushy. Easy to propagate from stem cuttings in moist sphagnum or water
