Digitalis purpurea 'Sutton's Apricot' is a striking hardy foxglove, valued for its tall spires of softly coloured, bell-shaped flowers in warm apricot, peach and pale yellow tones. Forming a neat basal rosette of green leaves in its first year, it sends up elegant flowering stems in summer that bring height and a gentle cottage-garden charm to the border.
Well suited to woodland-style planting, this foxglove thrives in lightly shaded positions and naturalistic schemes. The flowers are rich in nectar and highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, making it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens.
