Dianthus arenarius
Dianthus arenarius is a charming alpine pink with narrow blue-green foliage and beautifully fringed white flowers. The delicate blooms have a light, airy appearance and bring a refined cottage-garden feel to rockeries, gravel beds and sunny container displays.
Best grown in free-draining soil, this species enjoys open, sunny conditions and dislikes sitting wet through winter. Its compact evergreen foliage provides year-round structure, while the summer flowers add fragrance and movement.
