Cornus kousa 'Teutonia'
Cornus kousa 'Teutonia' is a beautiful flowering dogwood prized for its spectacular display of large white bracts in early summer. Appearing in June, the elegant blooms gradually develop soft pink speckling as they mature, extending the season of interest and adding subtle colour variation to the garden.
Fresh mid-green foliage provides an attractive backdrop throughout the growing season before transforming into rich shades of purple-red in autumn. Following the flowers, unusual strawberry-like red fruits develop, adding further ornamental value and interest well into the season.
With a naturally balanced, spreading habit, this outstanding small tree or large shrub makes an excellent specimen plant for lawns, woodland gardens and mixed borders. It thrives in fertile, humus-rich, neutral to acidic soils and rewards gardeners with year-round beauty.
