Comfrey
Comfrey is a vigorous, clump-forming perennial valued for both its ornamental and practical uses in the garden. It produces large, slightly hairy green leaves and clusters of nodding, bell-shaped flowers in shades of purple, pink or cream from late spring into summer.
Often grown as a companion plant, comfrey is well known for its deep roots that draw nutrients up from the soil, making it ideal for composting or use as a natural liquid plant feed. It thrives in a wide range of conditions and is particularly useful in wildlife-friendly or productive gardens.
