Cissus 'Violet Vine'
Cissus 'Violet Vine' is an eye-catching climbing houseplant prized for its elongated leaves patterned in shimmering silver, with contrasting purple veining and rich burgundy undersides. The colourful foliage gives the plant an exotic appearance and changes subtly as the light catches the leaves.
Growing by slender tendrils, 'Violet Vine' can be trained up a trellis, moss pole or other support, or allowed to trail from a shelf or hanging planter. It prefers bright, indirect light, warmth and good humidity, making it an impressive choice for a bright bathroom or grouped tropical display.

Cissus Care
Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid prolonged strong direct sunlight
Water: Keep the compost lightly moist during active growth, allowing the surface to dry slightly between waterings
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity and benefits from being kept away from dry air and radiators
Temperature: Keep warm, ideally above 18°C, and protect from cold draughts
Feeding: Feed regularly with a balanced houseplant fertiliser during spring and summer
Training: Provide a trellis, moss pole or other support for the tendrils to climb, or allow stems to trail naturally
