Aeonium ‘Schwarzkopf’ is a dramatic, branching succulent with large rosettes of deep purple, almost black leaves held aloft on tall, woody stems. In bright light, the foliage colour intensifies to an inky, near jet-black tone, creating a bold, architectural silhouette that commands attention.

Aeonium Care Sheet
Light: Prefers full sun or bright light. Colour is deepest in strong light; partial shade may produce more green tones.
Water: Water when the soil is dry. Reduce watering in dormancy (summer). Allow excess water to drain completely.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a gritty, free-draining succulent or cactus mix. Feed once a month in spring and autumn with diluted fertiliser.
Humidity: Thrives in dry air. Avoid high humidity and never mist.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove leggy growth or faded rosettes to maintain shape. Propagates easily from cuttings taken in spring.
