Adenium obesum 'Baobab'
A dramatic, sculptural succulent with a thick, swollen base (caudex) and glossy green leaves. Known as the "Desert Rose," this form resembles a miniature baobab tree and produces stunning, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of pink, red, or white during the warmer months.

- Useful to know: Toxic if ingested – keep away from pets and children
- Eventual height: Up to 100cm indoors over time
- Origins: Arid regions of East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula
Adenium Care Sheet
Light: Needs full sun and as much direct light as possible to thrive and flower well.
Water: Water thoroughly in spring and summer when soil is dry, but avoid overwatering. Keep almost completely dry in winter when dormant.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a very free-draining cactus or succulent mix. Feed monthly in the growing season with a high-potassium fertiliser to encourage flowering.
Humidity: Prefers dry conditions – do not mist. Ideal for hot, dry indoor environments.
Pruning & Propagation: Prune in spring to shape and encourage branching. Can be propagated from cuttings or seeds. Allow cut ends to callous before planting.
