Aesculus parviflora

Description: Aesculus parviflora, also known as the Bottle Brush Backeye, is a large suckering tree. Leaves bronze when young in the spring, and an attractive yellow colour in autumn. Flowers freely in July-August with slender panicles of white flowers with long-exserted attractive red anthers. Followed by smooth fruits in the autumn.

History: Originated from the USA in 1785. Received an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.

Growing Tips: Most varieties require a lot of space to grow. Thrive in almost any well drained soils. Prefer to be planted in full sun or partial shade.
