Sansevieria zeylanica
Sansevieria zeylanica is a classic and highly resilient snake plant with upright, sword-shaped leaves marked with subtle horizontal banding in deep green and silvery-grey tones. Its refined patterning gives it a softer, more natural look than some bolder varieties, while still maintaining strong architectural appeal.
Ideal for both homes and offices, this tough houseplant thrives in a wide range of indoor conditions, including low light and artificial lighting. Its clean lines, air-purifying qualities, and minimal care needs make it a reliable choice for modern interiors and busy spaces.

Sansevieria Care Sheet
Light: Tolerates low light but grows best in bright, indirect light. Also copes well with artificial lighting
Water: Water sparingly, allowing compost to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of failure
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining cactus or houseplant compost. Feed lightly during spring and summer only
Humidity: Prefers dry air and normal household conditions. Do not mist
Pruning and propagation: Remove damaged leaves at the base. Propagate by division or leaf cuttings

Sansevieria Care
Light: Bright, filtered light, but is also extremely tolerant.
Water: Sansevieria needs little water. Especially in the winter they need less watering. A half glass of water every 2 months is sufficient. In spring and summer, it is advised to moisten the soil every 2 weeks.
Temperature: Sansevieria like room temperature around 18-25°C. They do not like temperatures below 10°C
Soil: Use a well-draining universal potting soil.
Fertiliser: Sansevieria does not need much extra fertiliser. From April to July, the plant needs a feed once every two weeks.
Repotting: Sansevieria do well in the same pot for years. Repot only when necessary. Use a well-draining soil that has plenty of perlite and some sand. Repot in a container that is no more than one size larger.
