Prunus laurocerasus 'Novita'
Prunus 'Novita' is a vigorous and reliable variety of cherry laurel, valued for its large, glossy evergreen leaves and strong, upright growth. The rich green foliage provides dense year-round cover, making it an excellent choice for hedging and screening.
In spring, small upright spikes of white flowers appear, attracting bees and other pollinators, followed by dark ornamental berries in autumn that provide an important food source for birds and wildlife. Hardier and more weather tolerant than many other laurels, ‘Novita’ performs well in exposed sites and responds well to trimming, allowing it to be kept neat or grown as a substantial hedge.
