Nepeta 'Picture Purrfect' PBR
Nepeta 'Picture Purrfect' is a compact, long-flowering catmint producing masses of large blue-purple flowers from early summer through to autumn. Flowering around two weeks earlier than many comparable varieties, it quickly forms a broad, low-growing mound that brings vibrant colour and pollinator activity to the front of borders.
This improved selection combines the neat height of compact catmints with a much wider spread, creating excellent ground coverage and a striking display over a long season. The aromatic foliage releases its characteristic fragrance when brushed against, while the abundant blooms attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.
Drought tolerant once established and exceptionally easy to grow, 'Picture Purrfect' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Its long flowering period, strong garden performance and resistance to deer and rabbits make it a valuable addition to cottage gardens, prairie-style planting schemes and mixed perennial borders.
