Meconopsis baileyi var. alba is a rare and elegant perennial producing striking pure white, silky flowers with contrasting golden stamens from late spring to early summer. This beautiful white-flowered form of the classic Himalayan Blue Poppy brings a delicate, ethereal quality to shaded borders and woodland gardens.
Held on upright stems above soft green foliage, the papery blooms create a graceful display in cool, sheltered parts of the garden. Its refined appearance makes it an excellent companion for ferns, hostas and other shade-loving perennials, adding brightness to woodland planting schemes.
Best grown in cool, moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil, this stunning perennial thrives in partial shade where it is protected from strong winds and hot afternoon sun.
