Leucothoe walteri 'Zeblid / Scarletta'
Leucothoe 'Zeblid' (also known as ‘Scarletta’) is a compact, evergreen shrub with glossy, leathery foliage that provides colour and interest throughout the year. The arching stems carry leaves that emerge bronzy-red in spring before maturing to deep green in summer, creating a rich contrast in texture and tone. In cooler months, the whole plant transforms to intense scarlet and burgundy shades, adding vibrant warmth to winter displays.
In spring, clusters of small white, urn-shaped flowers appear among the foliage. Perfect for shaded borders, woodland gardens, or containers, ‘Zeblid’ thrives in moist but well-drained acidic soil and is ideal for bringing year-round colour and structure to smaller gardens.
