Iris germanica 'Bruno'
Iris germanica 'Bruno' is a striking tall bearded iris producing elegant two-tone flowers with soft lavender standards and rich maroon-purple falls, highlighted with intricate veining and a golden beard. The large blooms appear in late spring, rising above strong fans of sword-like grey-green foliage and adding bold colour and structure to sunny borders.
This hardy and reliable perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soil where the rhizomes can sit close to the soil surface. Once established it becomes drought tolerant and low maintenance, making it ideal for mixed borders, cottage gardens and cutting gardens.
