Hosta 'Gooseberry Sundae'
Hosta 'Gooseberry Sundae' is a distinctive and eye-catching perennial, quite unlike most hostas, with a crave-worthy combination of extra glossy green leaves and striking plum-coloured stems. The foliage has a rich, textured appearance, adding depth and interest to shaded planting.
Forming a compact clump, it is ideal for borders, containers and woodland gardens. Its coloured stems are especially effective when planted in raised or elevated containers, where they can be fully appreciated. In summer, pale lavender flowers appear above the foliage, adding a soft seasonal touch.
With its strong leaf substance and reliable performance, it offers good resistance to slugs and snails and thrives in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil.
