Elaeagnus × ebbingei 'Viveleg' is a vigorous, upright evergreen shrub valued for its attractive variegated foliage. The glossy green leaves are heavily speckled with silver and framed by bright yellow margins, providing year-round colour and structure in the garden.
An excellent choice for hedging, screening and boundary planting, this tough and adaptable shrub copes well with exposed locations, coastal conditions and urban environments. During autumn, clusters of small, highly fragrant white flowers appear amongst the foliage, attracting bees and other pollinating insects at a time when floral resources can be scarce.
Fast-growing and easy to maintain, 'Viveleg' quickly forms a dense evergreen barrier while adding brightness and interest throughout the seasons.
