Digitalis × mertonensis
Digitalis × mertonensis is a distinctive foxglove producing tall spires of soft coppery-mauve flowers above a neat rosette of rich green foliage. The warm colouring gives this variety a unique look among foxgloves, bringing soft tones and vertical interest to borders.
Flowering from late spring into early summer, it is ideal for cottage gardens, woodland-style planting and mixed borders. Thriving in fertile, well-drained soil, this hardy perennial performs well in full sun or partial shade and is particularly attractive to pollinating insects.
