Crassula 'Deceptor'
Crassula 'Deceptor' - A compact, architectural succulent forming tight columns of stacked, grey-green leaves with a powdery bloom. Slowly clumps into neat mounds, adding sculptural interest to bright, dry interiors.
- Other names: Crassula deceptor, Little Tower Crassula
- Useful to know: Not safe for pets – toxic if ingested
- Eventual height: 10–15cm tall, clumps to 15 - 20cm
- Origins: Namibia and Northern Cape, South Africa
Crassula Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright light with several hours of direct sun. A sunny windowsill or conservatory keeps growth compact.
Water: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly; much less in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a gritty, very free-draining cactus/succulent mix. Feed lightly once or twice in spring–summer with diluted fertiliser.
Humidity: Thrives in dry air – do not mist.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove lower dried leaves to tidy. Propagates easily from leaf or stem cuttings once calloused; occasional offsets can be divided.
