Clematis cirrhosa var. purpurascens 'Freckles'
Clematis 'Freckles' is a superb evergreen clematis that brings welcome colour to the garden during the quietest months of the year. From October to January, it produces masses of creamy-pink, bell-shaped flowers heavily speckled with rich red blotches, creating a striking display when little else is in bloom. The flowers are lightly scented and stand out beautifully against the fresh, ferny evergreen foliage.
Ideal for brightening sheltered walls, trellises, pergolas, or obelisks, this reliable climber thrives in a sunny or lightly shaded spot with protection from cold winds. Hardy and easy to grow, it belongs to pruning Group 1, requiring only minimal maintenance.
