Berberis darwinii 'Compacta'
Berberis darwinii 'Compacta' is a compact, evergreen shrub with dark, glossy green foliage and a naturally neat, rounded habit. In spring, it becomes covered in bright orange-yellow flowers, creating a vivid and eye-catching display against the evergreen leaves.
These nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees, while the blue-black berries that follow in autumn provide valuable food for birds. Tough, reliable and easy to grow, this variety thrives in full sun or partial shade and makes an excellent choice for borders, low hedging or wildlife-friendly planting schemes.
