The annual GCA (Garden Centre Association) conference took place this week, with the national awards presented to garden centres from across the country. We are proud to announce that we have been awarded two accolades!
First up is the Ian Boardman Indoor Plants Cup, given for our outstanding houseplant department, demonstrating a diverse collection on offer, with great care and attention dedicated to our stock and the customer experience.
Second is the Ruxley Rose Award for Best Overall Plantaria! This award is judged on excellent quality, range, layout and presentation of plants. Staff are also judged on their knowledge and customer care, the promotions they run and special features, such as new varieties. Considering all of the criteria to cover, we always feel this award is very prestigious, and winning it shows the hard work and dedication our team put into making the garden centre experience a day to remember for our customers!
GCA Chief Executive, Peter Burks said: “The commitment and hard work our member garden centres put in each year just gets better and better. Through our annual inspections and awards, we know our members have some of the highest standards in our industry. They should all be proud of the example they set to others.
