Get rid of suckers

Suckers are generally unwanted shoots growing from the roots of many trees and shrubs (and nearly all roses and fruit trees). Remove these suckers otherwise they will either take over, or weaken the plant energy. If possible pull or rip out the suckers, as simply cutting them off can lead to re-growth. ;
