Sow turnip tops

For a really unusual late-season crop try sowing turnips, not for their roots but for their delicious, earthily-flavoured leaves. Sow your turnips closer than usual, in a similar way to baby-leaf salads, and don't bother to thin: just snip them off a little above the root as required.
