Slugs

Slugs become even more prolific in the Autumn, and you should do what you can to keep them in check. Ash in a circle round a favourite plant and beer in a plastic pot sunk into the ground are good organic solutions, and of course there are many types of slug pellets that are available, which should be applied with care.
