Taxus baccata 'Fastigiata'
Taxus 'Fastigiata', commonly known as the Irish Yew, is a dense, upright evergreen Conifer with a distinctive columnar habit. Its rich, dark green needles are arranged closely along vertical branches, creating a formal, architectural shape that remains neat year-round. Small red arils appear on female plants in autumn, adding subtle colour and seasonal interest.
A classic choice for formal gardens, hedging, or as an accent specimen, ‘Fastigiata’ is highly versatile and tolerant of pruning. It thrives in sun or shade and well-drained soil, offering structure, longevity, and timeless elegance. Hardy and slow-growing, it requires little maintenance once established.
