<h2>Getting the most from your new Rose</h2>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Where to plant</strong></h2>

<p>Choose an open, sunny position with free-draining soil.&nbsp; Avoid planting where roses have grown before or transfer fresh soil to the site.&nbsp; Patio roses can be planted in mixed borders or alongside other roses, or in pots and containers.</p>

<h2><strong>Planting</strong></h2>

<p>Roses love organic matter, so mix well-rotten manure, leaf mould or compost into the soil. Water thoroughly before planting.&nbsp; Make a hole big enough not to disturb the root ball.&nbsp; Remove from the pot and ensure the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil.&nbsp; Back-fill soil mixed with a good fertilizer, then firm.&nbsp; Water thoroughly.</p>

<h2><strong>Aftercare</strong></h2>

<p>Water well until established.&nbsp; Mulching will keep the soil weed-free and moist.&nbsp; For best results feed your roses with fertilizer in spring and again in summer.&nbsp; Remove faded flowers to encourage speedy repeat flowering.</p>

<h2><strong>Simple Pruning</strong></h2>

<p>Prune your rose in March or before new growth by removing any dead or very thin branches and reducing the height by 1/3 to 2/3 of the previous growth.</p>
